Calling All Beaders

The World Gem Society announced the launch of their new site for beaders. On the site, www.BeadIdentification.com, beaders can find photo identifications of beads ranging from abalone to turquoise. The site was created to be a tool jewelry crafters can use to properly identify the materials used in the pieces they make.

The site includes photos of natural, treated, created and imitations of each listed gem or mineral.

Also, all World Gem Society Registered gem dealers that sell wholesale beads have been invited to list a link to their company on the "Dealers Directory" tab on the homepage.

If you are a jeweler or interested in identifying gems of your own, check out the new site from the World Gem Society.

Below are a few beaded items available from Renaissance Jewelers.
